Bois Caiman fait référence à un site en Haïti qui revêt une grande importance historique dans le contexte de la Révolution haïtienne, un événement majeur à la fin du XVIIIe siècle qui a conduit Haïti à devenir la première nation indépendante en Amérique latine et dans les Caraïbes, ainsi que la première république dirigée par des Noirs dans le monde. La cérémonie de Bois Caiman aurait eu lieu le 14 août 1791, dans la région nord d'Haïti. Il s'agissait d'une réunion secrète organisée par des esclaves africains et des marrons (esclaves évadés) qui a joué un rôle crucial dans l'amorçage de la révolution contre la domination coloniale française.
